Von der Leyen outlines priorities for the Lithuanian Council presidency

Good meeting with @mindaugassink ahead of the 🇱🇹 Presidency of the Council in January. We have busy months ahead of us. From strengthening our defence, particularly on our Eastern flank. To supporting Ukraine in bringing this war to a just end. And bringing Ukraine, Moldova and the Western Balkans closer to our Union. Together, we can build an even stronger Europe, ready for the challenges of our times. And, as we discussed, this means securing a budget that matches our ambitions.
