Von der Leyen condemns attacks by Iran-backed Houthis on infrastructure in Saudi Arabia

Once again, the Iran-backed Houthis have targeted infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, including a refinery and airports. These attacks keep destabilising the region, igniting further violence and undermining global energy security. We stand in solidarity with Saudi Arabia and our Gulf partners. Regional security will be at the heart of our discussions with the Gulf Cooperation Council later this month.
