Macron, EU’s Kallas condemn Russian attack on Ukraine with Oreshnik ballistic missile. French President Emmanuel Macron and the European Union’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas on Sunday condemned Russia’s use of a nuclear-capable Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile in its massive overnight attack on Ukraine. While Macron said the strikes targeting civilians signalled “the dead end of Russia’s war of aggression”, Kallas accused Moscow of engaging in “reckless nuclear brinkmanship”.
