Takaichi congratulates Kenso Soai on the chemistry Nobel Prize

Dr. SOAI Kenso, Professor Emeritus at Tokyo University of Science, has been awarded this year's Nobel Prize in Chemistry. I congratulate Professor Soai most wholeheartedly on this remarkable honor. This award reflects the international community's high acclaim for his discoveries and research on non-linear effects and autocatalysis in asymmetric organic synthesis. I express my great respect for Professor Soai's achievements, and I take great pride in the fact that this discovery of truth, achieved through the creative ideas of a Japanese researcher, has greatly contributed to the continued progress of humankind and has been recognized by the international community. The Government of Japan will continue to firmly support creative and diverse research while strongly promoting the training and fostering of researchers.
