Takaichi congratulates award recipients for their contributions to building safe communities

First of all, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all those who have received awards for their contributions to the building of safe and reassuring communities. You have devoted yourselves to crime prevention and the prevention of reoffending in your respective communities and fields. I would like to express my sincere respect and gratitude for your tremendous contributions over many years. Public safety is a foundation for making the Japanese archipelago stronger and more prosperous. Your activities, including community crime prevention patrols, public awareness-raising on the safe use of cyberspace, and support for the reintegration into society of those who have committed crimes, are indispensable to protecting the safety and well-being of local communities. The Government will also strengthen its cooperation with all of you and others working in communities across Japan, and make every effort to build a country where both those living today and future generations can live in safety and with peace of mind. In closing, I wish you all continued good health and success in your endeavors.
