    本日午後、ファティ・ビロル国際エネルギー機関(IEA)事務局長 @fbirolが官邸にお越しくださり、3月以来の再会となりました。 私からは、ビロル事務局長にも御支持いただいた「パワー・アジア」の下での取組に加え、日本が世界のエネルギー安全保障の確保に向けた3つの柱として、 ① 自由で透明なエネルギー貿易の確保、 ② 石油備蓄の国際協調、 ③ 生産国と消費国の連携強化を、 G7の場を含め国際社会に呼びかけていることをお伝えしました。 そして、先月26日、日本のエネルギー需給構造の更なる強靱化のため、化石燃料の調達安定性の強靭化及びGXの加速・強化を掲げた「パワーGX」というパッケージを打ち出し、今後、この取組を世界に広め、グローバルな需給構造の強靱化を進めたいとお伝えしました。 ビロル事務局長からは、「パワー・アジア」及び「パワーGX」といった日本のエネルギー政策を評価いただくとともに、エネルギー市場の安定を含む世界のエネルギー安全保障の確保のため、日本と協力していくと表明いただきました。 また、エネルギーの供給源の多角化や、重要鉱物のサプライチェーン強靱化に向けた意見交換も行い、日本とIEAが連携していくことで一致しました。 エネルギーを巡る国際情勢が依然として不透明な中でも、世界のエネルギー安全保障に一層貢献し、国民の生活と経済活動を守っていくため、日本はIEAとも連携を深めながら、取り組んでまいります。
